PLEASE NOTE: Over the years, we've learned that about half our South Africa clients also want to visit Victoria Falls. In response, rather than adding it to our South Africa programs, we created this optional add-on to our Best of SOUTH AFRICA and KRUGER SAFARI tours.
While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest based on its combined width of 1,708 metres and height of 108 metres, which results in the world's largest sheet of falling water. Victoria Falls are roughly twice the height of North America's Niagara Falls and well over twice its width. (Wikipedia)
In addition to being the largest waterfall, Victoria Falls is also one of Seven Natural Wonders of the World. As such, it is found on many intrepid travellers' bucket lists. For those on TravelMaven tours in South Africa, this optional three-night tour immediately follows their week at Kruger National Park. On the day others fly home, those taking this VICTORIA FALLS tour fly north to Zimbabwe.
