PLEASE NOTE: Over the years, we've learned that about half our South Africa clients also want to visit Victoria Falls. In response, rather than adding it to our South Africa programs, we created this optional add-on to our Best of SOUTH AFRICA and KRUGER SAFARI tours.
While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest based on its combined width of 1,708 metres and height of 108 metres, which results in the world's largest sheet of falling water. In addition to being the largest waterfall, Victoria Falls is also one of Seven Natural Wonders of the World. As such, it is found on many intrepid travellers' bucket lists. Each day's title included the initials of the meals provided (B for breakfast, L for lunch, D for dinner).
DAY 1: Flight to Vic Falls; Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River (B,D)
The first day begins mid-afternoon when guests are met at Victoria Falls Airport and taken to our hotel. After checking in, guests will have time to relax or take a swim before departing for Pure Africa's Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi River, which includes a four course meal and drinks. Before dinner, guests also will consult with hotel staff in order to select their activities for Days Three and Four.

DAY 2: Vic Falls tour; Local Villages tour, BOMA Dinner & Drum Show (B,D)
The second day begins with breakfast. At 9 am, guests will be picked up by a private guide and taken on a two hour walking tour of Victoria Falls National Park. Afterwards, the guide will drop guests off at Lookout Cafe. After lunch, guests will be picked up for a tour of Local Villages to learn about native history and culture. In the evening, guests will be taken to the BOMA dinner show at Victoria Falls Safari Club Hotel.

DAY 3: Free Day (option: Chobe National Park) (B,D)
This is a free day where guests can create their own program from the many options available. These activities are not included in the Land Package price, but can be booked and paid for through the hotel.. The most popular is taking a one day water safari in Chobe National Park in nearby Botswana. Other options include: elephant encounters; walking safaris; horse back safaris; fishing outings; zip line, bungee & big swing adventures; jet boat rides; helicopter tours; tours into Zambia, and High Tea at the colonial Victoria Falls Hotel. Dinner is an experience with local foods at Dusty Road restaurant.

DAY 4: Free Morning; Depart Victoria Falls (B)
Before departing, guests may choose to relax around the pool, pick up some last-minute souvenirs, or make one final adventure. For example, guests could add a half-day safari (walking or horseback) and still be back in time for departure. After all the fun is done, guests will depart the hotel about noon to head to Victoria Falls Airport for a light lunch before flying back to Johannesburg to catch their flight home.
