PLEASE NOTE: Over the years, we've seen that about half our South Africa clients want to visit Victoria Falls. In response, rather than adding it to our South Africa programs, we created these three add-ons to our South African tours.
While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest based on its combined width of 1,708 metres and height of 108 metres, which results in the world's largest sheet of falling water. Victoria Falls are roughly twice the height of North America's Niagara Falls and well over twice its width. (Wikipedia)
In addition to being the largest waterfall, Victoria Falls is also one of Seven Natural Wonders of the World. As such, it is found on many intrepid travellers' bucket lists. For those on TravelMaven tours in South Africa, we have three Land Package options.
Two Nights: This package offers a Zambezi River dinner cruise, a private walking tour of Victoria Falls National Park, a visit to a nearby traditional Village; and dinner at the local foods eatery Dusty Road.
Three Nights: This package includes everything in the two night package plus an extra day to enjoy souvenir shopping, other optional activities or relaxing around the pool.
Three Nights (Chobe): This package adds a day-long safari to Chobe National Park in nearby Botswana, including their unique half-day water safari.
